Hi,

Like "Mann" in forum below (21.08.2007), I have to set the pressure for blanketing a methanol tank with nitrogen.

http://www.cheresources.com/invision/index...4&st=0&

Methanol's vapour pressure is 0.13 bara @ 20ºC and 0.4 bara @ 40ºC.
I have read Paul R. Ostand's article and Fisher Guides for Blanketing Tanks as well as opinions dropped in other forums (http://www.eng-tips.....cfm?qid=190851).
According to Paul, typically, the controlled pressures are between 0.5" wc (0.018 psi) and 5" wc (0.18 psi).

In previous discussions, Vendors advised "Mann" to revise 2.5 KPag value.
Any idea of what set pressure value should I use for methanol?

Thanks in anticipation
