Dear all,
Could you please explain me what is difference between TRC (Temperature Recording Controller) and TIC( Temperature Indicating Controller)?. which one is more expensive (cost of installation)?
Thank you for your help!

I have no idea why you have posted this in the relief devices forum, but OK.
I would say there is (almost) no difference anymore. In the pre-DCS days, a TIC meant that you had a gauge somewhere where you could read the temperature, while a TRC meant that you had a pen recorder that plotted temperature vs time.
In the DCS, there is no real difference. Also with a TIC, you have the possibility to store temperature for some time. Maybe with a TRC there is more data storage space reserved but I am not sure (maybe you can check with a DCS supplier?). If there is any difference, a TRC will be more expensive than a TIC.
