Hi,

I am preparing a relief, vent and depressuring standard for our client.

This standard requires to differentiate between onshore and offshore oil and gas installations with regards to relief, vent and depressuring systems design and installation.

I have been referring API RP 521, API RP 520-Part I and II, API 14C as well as some other references. I have not been able to find any section or paragraph which differentiates in terms of onshore and offshore installations.

Can anybody highlight the major differences for relief, vent and depressuring sytem design between offshore and onshore O&G installations. If possible, provide a web article or link to an article which deals with the subject.

cheers,

ankur2061,

I worked on both offshore and onshore oil and gas projects but cannot think of any fundamental difference for relief, vent and depressuring system design.
