psk
sir,
i want to what is the relation between flow rate and pressure? my setup is i have a tank and a tulu motor draws water at contant rate and this is confirmed due to the steady position of float in the flowmeter. water from the flowmeter goes to a cylinder with input hole of diameter 12mm. i want to calculate the input pressure to the cylinder. is it possible? if the flow rate of 200 litres/hour is selected what will be the input pressure? kindly throw some light on this matter.
regards
psk

The flow passing the flowmeter, 12mm hole and further flow into cylinder. I would think probably the flow is limited by the 12mm hole. If this is correct, this is just a typical restriction orifice (RO) calculation for water passing a 12 mm hole.

Search information on RO related and you will probably know the relation between the flow and pressure (to be exact is pressure drop across the RO).
