Hi. I am dealing with alkanes which overreaction from hydrogenation of alcohol as residue.
I am wondering is there any processes able to convert the alkanes back to alcohol or any value added product?

If have, what is the investment look like?
What is the pressure & temperature for the operating?
Any special requirement or skills to run the above plant?

The carbon chain i am talking here is C12, C14, C16 & C18 alkanes from natural palm oil.
