I have found a lot of online calculators for determining the acid dew point, but I haven't found yet any formulas or equation to do the calculation myself. Can anyone help me? Do you know if Hysys can also carry out the calculation?
Thanks in advance

Alexandre,
I have come across two equations for Sulfuric Acid Dew Point calculation in flue gas:
A. G. Okkes method:
Dew Point (deg C) = 203.25 + 27.6*log10(pH2O in flue gas) + 10.83*log10(pSO3 in flue gas) + 1.06*(log10(pSO3 in flue gas + 8)2.19
where
the values in brackets for H2O and SO3 are their partial presures in atm.
Verhoff F.H. and Banchero J. T. method
Dew Point (deg K) = 1 / (0.002276 - 0.00002943 * Ln(pH2O in flue gas) - 0.0000858 * Ln(pSO3 in flue gas) + 0.0000062 * Ln(pH2O in flue gas) * Ln(pSO3 in flue gas))
where pH2O and pSO3 are the partial pressures of H2O and SO3 respectively.
Hope this helps.

Ankur

Check this article:
http://v_ganapathy.tripod.com/corrosion.pdfAlso, if you perform an intensive Google search I'm sure you'll find plenty of useful references, charts and articles. Few years ago, when we were designing combustion air preheater, I remember that I found almost averything that I needed for design of this unit, including acid dew point calculation methods.
Best regards,
Alexandre
