Hi Everyone,

I am in middle of preparation of Datasheets for Suction Heaters in Crude Oil products Storage Tanks.
I want to know, how I can design those Suction Heaters? Are they must specify by Tank Vendors or
there is any design procedure for Sizing of those.

I am very grateful if someone could give me an advice.

I would think it prudent to consult with vendors of these products. While we could imagine scenarios - starting temperature of the tank's contents, desired oil temperature going to the pump, etc. - we would really be making a lot of assumptions about how much of the heat gets to where it is needed (fluid going to pump) vs. heat that just dissipates in the tank. They should know from experience what size heater would be needed to achieve the results you desire.

Thank you for your good advice. But I don't know any Vendors
can supply Suction Heaters. Do you have name and address (or website) of them.

You need to get better acquainted with Google. You could try TMEC (tmec.com) or Koch Brown Fintube (kochheattransfer.com) as a starting point. Using Google, look for "Suction Heaters" or "Bayonnet Heaters".
