Hi, I'm doing a project an azeotropic distillation . I'm supposed to seperate toluene from methanol. There is an acetone entrainer is used to form another azeotrope with methanol so that a more pure toluene can be obtained in the bottom stream. With using simply fractional distillation (without plate) could we seperate them?
methanol+toluene BP at 63,8 C
Methanol+acetone BP at 55,7 C
I'm also not very sure optimum reflux ratio. Please help!
