Dear all,

I will be so thankful if anybody could help me to deside:

I'm designing a case:

Fire case PSV
Fluid: water;
Set Pressure= Design Pressure= 7.5 barg;
Design Temperature= 85 C
Relief temperature is calculated= 181 C < 593 C (carbon steel) , so PSV is applicable.

Should i change the vessel design temperature from 85 to 181?!!!

mm217,

Not at all. Fire case shouldn't be the basis of the vessel's mechanical design.
