Hi,

I am designing a waste heat boiler and at the moment must decide between Water Tube Boiler or a Fire Tube boiler,

My Gas Pressure is about 275 psig
My gas flow 167,000 lb/h
And my Stream Pressure about 490 psig

Initially I thought based on my pressures i should be designing a fire tube boiler but now because of my gas flow i am unsure as from literature I have gathered a fire tube boiler can only accomodate 50,000lb

Any help would be greatly appreciated

many thanks
xxxx

HannahRachel,

Why don't you refer to the book:

"Waste Heat Boiler Deskbook" by V. Ganapathy

Ankur.
