Dear chemical engineers,

Aspen plus users would know that when it comes to distillation columns, sensitivity analysis could be performed using the number of stages of the column as an independent variable which is very convenient. so for example a graph could be constructed having different number of stages and the corresponding reboiler heat duties.

when it comes aspen hysys which is the software ive used to construct a gas sweetening process for a flare gas recovery system, number of stages does not seem to be on the list of variables.

Although this is certainly not an important issue, I was just wondering whether anyone else has encountered a similar problem.
