Could anyone recommend any good textbooks for cost estimation in regard to ammonia and urea plants. Also any textbooks on absorber designs and any that give in depth details on urea manufacturing. Thank you.

Concerning cost estimation, a way out is to have relevant flow diagrams of ammonia / urea plant (as prepared), as well as equipment data sheet; then estimate installed cost of equipment, piece by piece. Buildings, piping, storage (if needed), electricals, etc, can be estimated in addition, by brief or detailed methods depending on desired precision for estimate. In addition to documents presented in post No 2 (by breizh), an introductory book for general use is "Plant Design and Economics for Chemical Engineers" by Max Peters and Klaus Timmerhaus, McGraw-Hill (several editions).
Brief methods for piping etc and process flow sheets (instead of PIDs) seem adequate for a student project.
Besides Hydrocarbon Processing has published from time to time budget cost of announced big projects from Petroleum, Petrochemicals, even Fertlizer Sector. You may search for budget costs there, to be reduced to current value by indices, even though you will not have a detailed picture of the equipment included. At any case it is a useful indication to see whether your own estimate as above is in the ball park.
Googling "capital cost urea plants" returns some results that can be useful, e.g. http://books.google.... plants&f=false '> http://books.google.... plants&f=false .

I have one little confusion!!

Suppose I want to design my Absorption Tower using Trays (what ever may be the type), instead of packing. Now I can easily calculate my theoretical stages, but how I can estimate my tower height?
