Dear members,

 

Kindly help me on following topics;

 

1) What correlation is mostly accepted in industry for pressure drop/flow regime prediction in Flarenet ? Beggs & brill or teital-dukler.

2) How can i calculate amount of liquid arriving to flare KO drum due to JT effect in downstream of PSV / Blow Down valve?

There is no such thing as " mostly accepted in industry"  different companies use different equations
personally i always use B&B homog

You do not have to calculate the  liquid amount , FNT does it for you , look at the results and you will see lquid data there.

I have read somewhere that B&B gives most conservative result and also don't consider inclined line.

 

Could you please share your experience ?

Beggs & Brill - The Beggs and Brill method is based on work done with an air-water mixture at many different conditions, and is

applicable for inclined flow.

Personally i still prefer the b&B homog for best all round results
