There is a glass in chamber foam, but the glass was broken, now the Methyl Acetate leaking through this 2" size. I want to calculate how much the vapor is releasing from the pressurized storage tank.

beizh,

thank you for fast response. However, I used your link to run the calculation, it ended up strange number. The answer is about 0.11 lbs per second. it is about 396 lbs per hour that I believe it is high. can you please help?

ChokedFlowCAUS.png i used this formula to do calculate the MeAC leaks from 2" pipe.

Only you can perform the work because  you did not provide much information about the conditions ( P, T ,...)

Help yourself we will help you.

Hai Le:

We are not going to do your work for you.  We are here to help, not to do your work.

Submit your detailed calculations showing clearly your algorithm and math.  An Excel Spreadsheet is the best and most efficient way to do this.

Hai ,

Not much info , so my calculation based on assumptions  (2nd component water , % mol) for non chocked flow according to pressure ratio , gave : 0.049 lb/s

hope this helps.
