Hi

 

FF has the definition of the ratio of pressure at vena contracta (Pvc) to vapor pressure.

 

Could anybody explain how FF can be calculated using following expression?

 

FF=0.96-0.28*sqrt(Pv/Pc)

 

I don't know how Pc is related to this matter.

Sorry, i should say this topic is about control valve sizing. FF is used to calculate maximum flow rate through a control valve.
