i m a student of chemical engineering final year and i got project to replace the simple multi-distillation coulumn with azeotropic distillation to make it cost efficient. i m confused that where should i start from i started with the mass balance on the current distillation coulumn running there in industry, but will it help me because i have to replace it. plz help me that where should i start from n direct me in step by step..

So have you discovered if what you have done is possible, especially for the components of your interest? Is it already practiced in the industry anywhere? Because, if it can be done, it may already have been done. You dug through any books, literature, journals etc? It would matter to find out if it can be done in the beginning otherwise its just a wild goose chase...
