hello everyone.

Can anybody help me, how to design a quenching tower? Short cut method is enough. I use this quenching tower for cooling effluent of ethylene dichloride cracking reactor to make vinyl chloride monomer. I'm still student and that is my final project.

Maybe anyone can give me advice what textbook or method i should use. thanks

Have you tried a vapor-liquid absorber?  Liquid product would split to final product and re-circulated fluid for condensing the monomer.  The re-circulated liquid will need an external cooler for heat removal.
