Greetings,

I am a final semester student of B.E Chemical

And i am working on Hydrocracker.

Recently i had finished the designing of Furnace for my hydrocracker but now i am not sure how to start the designing of Reactor. I seek your help in this regard asap.

If someone had already worked on this than please share your research data with me.
I need to know its basics to simulation stage work.

Your replies are already appreciated.

Kind Regards,

Sunny.

Sunny:

Are you asking our members to send you work product that they generated so that you can use it and include it in your assigned project design problem as credit for your work?  Or are you going to give full credit for the effort to the contributing members (in writing) in your project's submittal?

I think the latter would be the ethical and fair way to represent the product that you would submit.  Please tell us if that is what you are proposing to our membership in order to get a clear picture of your request.

Thank you.

Hi Art Montemayor,

I appreciate your reply on my post.

Just to clarify, i am not asking for completed work module so i can submit.
Obviously, this is not a fair act.

I am requesting for some data on Reactor designing module, so i can get the maximum help from it. This way i will be able to start working on my own project. My request to your members is to provide me every possible help from the grass root level so i can learn the designing of Reactor.

Summary is: i need assistance for my project from some one whom had already worked on the Designing of Reactor.

Kind Regards,

Sunny.

Sunny,

I cannot understand that what is still considered a proprietary technology can be assigned to a student as a design project for a industrial scale hydrocracker reactor. There are still a handful of technology licensors for hydrocrackers viz. Chevron, EMAK (ExxonMobil-Akzo Nobel-Kellogg), IFP and UOP.

Did you discuss with your professor on how you will go about designing a hydrocracker reactor?

Some very basic but good information about hydrocracking reactors is given in Chapter 7 of the book:

"Handbook of Petroleum Processing" by David S.J. "Stan" Jones and Peter R. Pujado

Additionally you may also refer the book:

"Refining Processes Handbook" by Surinder Parkash

Goodluck in your assignment.

Regards,

Ankur.
