I came to know that as the strength of sulfuric acid decreases, its corrosive nature increases drastically for which even MOC's like SS 304 and SS 316 fails.

I am unbale to understand how does this happen? What facilitates corrosion?

When H2SO4 become less concentrated, it becomes more active/corrosive. The main thing is H+ can get released easily if the acid is diluted. And the H+ is the main thing which cause corrosion. Like 37% conc. H2SO4 is more corrosive than 98% con. H2SO4. The phenomena is also same for HCL. Even if you touch 98% H2SO4 with your open hand, nothing will happen for few minutes!! DON"t do this. But if you do it for lower conc. sulfuric acid, you will feel something what you never want!!
