Hi everyone. i am dealing in refrigeration system which is used to liquefy food grade CO2 at -350C and 15 Barg.  I am working to replace NH3 vapor compression refrigeration system by NH3 vapor absorption system in order to save cost.

Specifications of present vapor compression system are measured as follow.

Refrigeration capacity= 80 tons

Refrigeration effect= 1335 Kj/kg

Compressor motor=132KW

Mass flow rate=13 kg/min

Diagrams are attached to understand the system.

Can anybody help me to design vapor absorption system of same refrigerating effect??Attached File  1533321_10202457188086902_1658315448_n (1).jpg   19.67KB   1 downloads

You probably should ask the question of a package unit supplier before you waste too much time. It's unlikely that replacement will be economical.
