Hi everyone!

I am using Flarenet for blowdown calculations on existing flaring systems.

Now, for the new Flare system I want to size KO drum with Flarenet. And my question is: Is Flarenet right soft for sizing of the KO drum? Based on your experience, could anyone help to choose right software before I dive into that one.

Used soft is V7.3 25.0.0.36

Thanks in advance.

Well, you can check the results with the API recommended practice. Except that the API procedure is no good without also using additional criteria that the API procedure doesn't recognize. So, where are going to go for sound guidelines? If you find something, let me know. You can use the sample program at my website to size flare ko drums, but one of the parameters is fixed. And there is also a working program that you can use to rate your drum once it is sized. Or use it with the "poke-and-hope" procedure until the specified dimensions are acceptable. Use the Flarenet software or whatever you have, size the drum, then check it with the software at my site. You can find the site by Googling my name. Leave me a note through the site when you have checked your results.
