Hi All,

 

Typically as a common practice, chemical injection systems are not subject to blowdown during emergency shutdown ESD. what I have seen before is shutdown of all actuated shutdown valves for chemical inejction systems during ESD.

 

My question is: Is there a specific codes required for the blowdown of chemical inejction system (the case here is Methanol) upon automatic ESD? Is it mentioned in any code?
