roshimessi,

There are many factors in deciding the sweetening process for sour gas.

1. Whether sour gas only contains H2S or there is presence of CO2.

2. Are there mercaptans present in the sour gas

3. What is the gas quantity to be treated? If very small quantities then mole sieves can be employed.

Refer the attachment for sour gas treatment processes and their comparison.

Regards,

Ankur
