Someone please explain that in stripping of ammonia from crude product mixture of MMA-DMA-TMA-H2O-NH3 in methylamines production, how does MMA (being lighter than among the 3 methylamines) remain at the bottom stream? We were puzzled by this ammonia stripping as the first step of product purification.

In manual calculations (McCabe Thiele), shouldn't our VLE be based on NH3-TMA azeotrope and TMA? If not, what? If you can share us the azeotropic data for it, we'll be more than greatful!

Thanks!

It would also help me as well, I'm working on a project with methylamines and the separations process is complicated...
