Dear all,

I ve to design a heat exchanger to condense vapors and subcool it.The heat area required is very less, using a shell and tube heat exchanger will not be economical.Double pipe heat exchanger will serve the purpose.I ve few questions:

1)Can subcooling be carried out in a double pipe heat exchanger.

While calculating the area,do i zone out the latent heat load and sensible heat load and then add up the area just like how it is done in shell and tube heat exchangers?

2) How do i choose the diameter of the pipes?

3)Where can i find nominal pipe size for glass materials?
