Hi guys,

I'm wondering if any one has any experience with sprayers for scrubbers, specifically a Flue Gas Desulphurization unit. I'm looking to cost out the installation of a new layer of sprayers for a FGD unit, job by job, as well as the time required per job, but I am unfamiliar with what sorts of jobs would be associated with this task (ex. erecting scaffolding inside the vessel, welding nozzles on pipes, etc.). Hopefully someone can give me some insight about this if they have any experience.

Thanks

More info:

I have calculated the vessel dimensions to be H ~ 52m, D ~ 18 m.

Other specs. on the system are as follows:

T (flue gas in) = 330 deg. F

P (in) = 6 in. H2O

M total, flue gas in = 5 x 10^6 lb/hr

M H2O, in = 2 x 10^5 lb/hr

M SO2, in = 2.25 x 10^4 lb/hr

V gas, in = 3.1 m/s

90 % SO2 removal required

Slurry is CaCO3 based, 30 wt. % CaCO3 w/ L/G ratio of 17 L/m^3.

I'm looking to know what kind of work would need to be done to fabricate/install/implement, etc. a new layer of sprayers for this column.

For ex. weld nozzles on distributor pipes, bring pipes in through man-door, erect staging inside scrubber, etc etc.

Any help about this is greatly appreciated.
