Hi, i need to simulate a double pipe HX with Hysys. Which element should i choose for this HX? I tried with the shell and tube Hx but this is not what i have to simulate. Is it possible to select a TEMA configuration in order to make a paralelism?

I just need a simple model, that is to said a tube inside the other.

Thanks

Hello,

Well I don't use Hysys but I have experience with CHEMCAD 6.5 ( CC-THERM module) so I suggest to you download this software and try to simulate your HX with it. you can simulate shell and tube, double pipe heat exchanger or plate heat exchanger with TEMA, DIN and ASME standars. To be honest it was very easy learn this software to me, maybe you can learn it faster than me!  Here is a description about it.

Hi,

You may try EDR (Exchanger Design & Rating). It should be available with you as a part of Aspen package.

Regards.
