Hi all,

How do you calculate or obtain the steam saturation temperature upon designing a vertical thermosyphon for a column? thx!

If you want to calculate a steam temperature, you need to know the heat transfer area of the thermosyphon.

Then calculate the required LMTD from LMTD = Q/UA. Then doing a little trial and error, calculate the steam temperature. Be sure the LMTD isn't so high that the maximum allowable heat flux is exceeded.
