Gas Orifice Calculations

Hi,

In the GPSA book, there's a section regarding the gas orifice calculations in Example 3-1.

It happens that the related equation is :

 

Qh = Keyg Ftf Fg (hwPf)^0.5

 

I understand that Ftf is the flowing temperature factor to change from the assumed flowing temperature of 15'C to the actual flowing temperature, but i couldn't figure out how to get the Ftf value.

 

Can anyone enlighten me on this?

How bout the equation the liquid orifice meters?

 

Qh=Key1Fgt(hw)^0.5

 

How to get the value of Fgt? I have to refer to Fig 23-12 as stated in Fig 3-4? Are there any empirical equations that i can use without refering the graph?

You need to stick to the definition page 3-1 and find the appropriate data wherever you can  . Of course by "Googling "or using the search engine in this forum you can find many calculators to perform the work .
