I am dealing with a hysys simulation (v 7.2) already converged. Fluid package is peng robinson. I wanted to add components, and when I do that and re-enter the simulation, two streams appear with a Cutter after the first two equipments (just after a TEE item).

 

I was trying to guess what happens, and  I have just noticed that if I enter the Basis environment, Components Tab, click in my Component List (just to see it), and then return to the simulation, the Cutter also appears. Now I'm lost, because I did not make any changes to the simulation.

 

Maybe somebody has dealed with this problem before, I hope.

Peng-Robinson may not be supporting to newly components. So you might have added another package along with Peng-Robinson with two different basis.

 

Use of stream cutter is to export stream from one Thermo-package to another. Hope this may be resolve your issue.

Thanks, that was the problem. Some streams were changed to other property packages.

 

Changing the packaged again to the original one has removed the cutter.
