Hallo everyone,

this is my first topic. I am a student in N.T.U of Athens in Mechanical Engineering School. My diploma thesis is to design one pump which deliver cement mix up to 80 meters. First of all I need to calculate the viscosity of this cement mix. In this part I need your help. Please If anyone can tell me either an experimental way or any website that says that can be helpful. The mix which I want to calculate consisted from sand (50%), cement(20%), water (30%). Every respond is welcome.

A google search will reveal numerous articles and links including to companies that deal with cements and who should be able to give you help if approached.

e.g. this link from the first page of a search: http://rheology-esr....and H Vikan.pdf

I assume you already tried this search. Let us know what you have tried and found out already.

Try contacting some of the companies the search will reveal and see how helpful they may be.

This search will also lead you to the methods used to measure viscosity and how to use that data.
