Hi all,

I may not be the first person to ask this, however i wish to know do vertical can type (VS 6 as per API) require thermal relief valve (TRV) at suction and discharge.

The client has specified provision of TRVs at suction and discharge, however i do not think that the provision at suction and discharge is required. and either of the one place will be sufficient. kindly help me as to know if my understanding is correct and please correct me if i am wrong.

Thanks

Varun

Varun,

Appears the pump is applied in LPG service...

Anyway, if so at a glance it seems a TRV at the pump suction between the pump and the SDV would be adequate, but to finalize the requirement at least a sketch of the system is needed...
