Hello,

I have a doubt regarding to the size of inlet nozzle in a three phase separator.  I cant follow the sizing method given in Svrcek and Monnery articles.

See Table 4 in "Design two-phase separator within the right limits" or Table 5 " Successfully specify three-phase separators"

Mixture velocity =< 60 / (mixture density)^0,5

Could somebody tell me what is behind this rule of thumb ?

Thank you very much in advance!
