Polymer solids are to be separated from a solvent (IsoparM) using a 700 litre centrifuge of given dimensions (d= x mm, H= y mm).

Density of solvent is 750 kg/m3 and that of solids is 1100 kg/m3.

The feed rate is 700 L/h to the centrifuge.

Please see attachment.

How do we calculate the size of particles that will remain in the bowl at this flow rate ?
