Hi

I am using flash unit operation as an evaporator. Components in feed stream are Sucrose and Water. I am using Margules fluid package.

Experimetal results from a real process are as follow,

Feed: Sucrose = 16.95 mol%, Water 83.05 mol%, T = 129 °C, P=356.2 kPa, Flow rate = 640000 kg/hr

Product Liquid: Sucrose = 20.6 mol%, Water 79.4 mol%, T = 139.5 °C, P=356.2 kPa, Flow rate = 525365 kg/hr

Vapor product: Sucrose = 0.00 mol%, Water 100 mol%, T = 139.5 °C, P=356.2 kPa, Flow rate = 82034.51 kg/hr

I have used interaction parameters; A-water-sucrose= 0.572641 A-sucrose-water = 3.191

Problem: In simulation model using HYSYS, Product concentration is not matching with that of real process

In simulation model; Product liquid : Sucrose = 32.5 mol%, water = 67.5 mol%

Energy provided to the evaporator is extracted from steam which is condensed from 415 kPa and 145 °C to 356.2 kPa and 139.5 °C.

Please give me possible reasons for this deviation. And how will I achieve those experimental results.
