Hello,

I am currently in the process of designing a bespoke pressurized ISO tank.

I have currently hit a stumbling block over the required reinforcements for an eccentric conical reducer situated on the dish end of the vessel. I have been using the ASME rule however i cannot seem to gain a reasonable answer for either the thickness of the reducer or the required reinforcement.

I have tried both hand calculations and computer simulations.

Also I have to include a manhole in the top of the vessel situated in the middle of the shell, the manhole is to be flush with the shell, i.e. there should be a flat recessed section in the shell.

I cannot find any information on this type of configuration.

Any help or tips with any of these problems would be much appreciated.
