Dear Sir,

              i want to get Pure Dimethyl Formamide solvent. in the mixture i have 2 solvents (Tertiary butanol and Dimethyl Formamide). How to remove Tertiary Butyl Alcohol from that mixture.

 

Purity of the mixture is....Tertiary Butyl alchol -8%, Dimethyl Formamide -92%

Probably distillation is the best option.

i'm working for Research and development center. Generally we use 5-10lts solvent. we always use flash distillation in a round bottom flask. My Query is how to DRY Dimethyl formamide and Iso Propyl Alchol from the mixture solvent.

 

Purity of the mixture is------- Tertiary Butyl alcohol - 8%,     Dimethyl Formamide - 92%,   Moisture content- 7-10%.
