Hi All..

I have to find the capacity of a vessel to temporarily collect a stream flowing at a flow rate of 1200 Kg/hr.

Just want to know, whether i am following the right approach..

Capacity= Flow rate /Density of flowing material.

Taking residence time of 1 hr.

Capacity=1200/800x1

      = 1.5 m3.

Thanks to all in advance.

Aneken ,

T =V/F ; T hour; V m3 ; F m3/h

Yes your calculation is correct .
