Hi all..

Greetings for the day..

Can anyone please help me with this problem?

Basically i want to know the method by which:

Problem :1 I can estimate the amount of instrument air in order to operate control valves.

Also i want to know the desired pressure by which the instrument air is to be supplied.

(just a rough estimate)

Problem :2 I can estimate the amount of plant air which will be used for cleaning.

Also i want to know the desired pressure by which the plant air is to be supplied.

Thanks in advance.

Aneken ,

For point 1 you need to refer to catalogue  of the supplier of valves . If I remember well using the search engine in this forum you can find information posted by Ankur .

For point 2 , what do you mean by air for cleaning ? Thanks to elaborate .

Aneken ,

I don't know what you mean by cleaning HX with air . Be careful with this type of activity , air is a compressible fluid .

Instrument and Plant Air systems in refineries are usually operated in the range 5-7 barg.
