Hi all!

I have one doubt concerning the use of multiple relief valves.

The problem I have is the following:

I have a PSV after a pump, and that PSV is most of the time open because the operating conditions of the pump are to close of the PSV's set pressure. I can not change the PSV set pressure because in that way it protects the equipments after the pump.

One of my colleagues asked me if we could not install another PSV, but I am not sure if it would give the proper results.

Can you give your opinion?

Thank you

sim_sim,

There are the points should be clarified:

1) Pump type

2) Over pressure scenario

There should also be a sketch of the system you described along with allowable working pressure of the pump and design pressure of the equimpent after the pump...
