Light molecules of hydrocarbons do not crack. Gasoline contains hydrocarbon molecules of C5 to C10 range. Hydrocarbon molecules of C30+ only crack which are present in vacuum gas oil and above.

49lone82,
Gasoline is Naphtha range molecules. Steam crackers crack Naptha routinely to produce Ethylene.
Typical temperature in Naphtha cracker furnaces outlet is 800 deg C for significant yield, but cracking starts at around 400 deg C.
Sufficient information exists on reaction kinetics and mechanism of steam cracking of Naphtha for you to study your system.

Sachin

Yes. Gasoline cracks only under some conditions, like catalysts, steam . It does not crack under normal conditions. Your first question gives the impression that you want to crack gasoline vapor to use it in the vehicle.
