Hello All,

I am doing an internship in a gas company. Currently, I am working on a project to check for choked flow in the flare header system and to calculate the pressure at different locations in the pipeline that contains natural gas.

To do so, I used Weymouth equation to calculate the pressure drop in the sections with a straight pipe of no diameter change. However. some locations have a tee branch and the outlet diameter is different than the inlet. Therefore I need a different equation to calculate the pressure drop.

Anybody has an idea on an equation that gives the pressure drop for gases when they pass through different diameters.

Thank you in advance,
