Hello,

I have been trying to build a simulation on Aspen HYSYS but I am facing a small problem with stream's compositon. Even after I have chosen each component fraction in a stream, my simulation still does not calculate anything. It's quite simple but I got stuck! The odd is when I build a simulation containing just one component it works fine.

Any ideas will be helpful!

Look carefully at your input to make sure it is complete. Flow, temperature, pressure as well as composition.

To be especific, I am facing this problem at a separator.

Inlet:
0.5 ammonia and 0.5 water (mass)
Pressure: 3000 kPa
Temperature: 150 ºC
Mass flow: 86060 kg/h

Outlet:

-Vapor
100% ammonia
Pressure: 3000 kPa
Temperature: 150 ºC
Mass flow: 24084 kg/h
-Liquid
0.30569 ammonia (mass)
Pressure: 3000 kPa
Temperature: 150 ºC
Mass flow: 61975 kg/h

The separator is always "not solved". Hoping to hear from somebody, thanks in advance

that's a very unusual error...

make sure that

1. you do not define any of the separator outlet properties (either liquid or vapor).

2. simulation is not put on hold by clicking on the above green button.

I hope it will work
