Hello All!

I am working in a hydrogen plant , I wanted to know how to calculate the Chemical Dosing rate , the chemicals dosed are in the Steam Circuit , Morpholine and Hydrazine in the deareator , and phosphate in the steam drum . Right now dosing is adjusted seeing the lab results , I don't  know what the dosing rate should be at a particular T'Put .

MJ94,

The proper dosing rates depend on the chemical condition of the used water and the specified limitations for chemical composition and oxygen content of deaerator outlet. Has you taken the relevant basic designer's advice for such dosing rates?

I made this file for morpholine dosing rate , to obtain a PH value of 9 of BFW 4 ppm of morpholine is reqd , this is true when Ph of Water coming to Deareator is 7 what if pH is more/Less ?

Please check the excel sheet!

MJ94,

Probably good to review the operating procedure given by the company advising or supplying the chemical !
In line analyzer may be considered .

My 2 cents .
