Dear All,

A brownfield project involves installation of Fuel oil heating exchangers on steam which consumes about 50 ton/h of the Saturated steam. Steam condensate return line is at 4.5 barg and ~160C and will be routed the condensate tank (atmospheric) which is designed at 90 C.

To route condensate into tank, it shall be cooled down first, so which methods may suits well for the condensate cooling.

Please note that no cooling water is available and air cooler is not acceptable to the client.

Installation of RO prior tank inlet will result into cooling at the expense of pressure drop, or a flash drum installation prior to the condensate tank will be best or any other method?

Please advise.

Thanks in advance.
