Hello all !!
Although I know the basics of Distillation (from Mccabe) I get confused when terms like pumparounds , TBP , stabilizers get involved , I want to learn the basics of operating a fractionator , for egs what happens to IBP-FBP of a stream when draw of a that particular stream is increased , please suggest some reading material .

Everything you want to know you can easily google.

If you have a lot of spare time you could read Petroleum Refinery Distillation (2nd edition 1979) by R.N. Watkins

and Handbook of Petroleum Processing (2006) by Jones & Pujado.

Watkins explains much more about the operating principles of fractionators.

Note however that both book work with British Units (so not metric or SI).

Actually I am in Hydrogen Unit which operates on Natural Gas , I always feel uncertain while talking about Fractionation , though I do have the spare time to sit on a OHCU panel , I want to start from the basics .

please note that you can not simply take out the draw of any ammount. this will change IBP and FBP as well as Vapor liquid traffic inside the column.
