Hi,

I am designing well platform, Well flow Operating Pressure (ABP) is 25 -90 kg/cm2g and Flowing tubing Head pressure is 25-210 kg/cm2g. Design Pressure for Well fluid production manifold is  given as 250 kg/cm2g and test separator design pressure is given as 93 kg/cm2g. But considering production manifold design pressure of 250 kg/cm2 is it relevant to design test separator at low pressure.?

if we consider 250 as design pressure and design the test separator PSV for blocked discharge of test separator is to be designed for 250 pressure, then length of vent boom is arriving as 40 m which is too high.

my concern is can we design test separator for lower pressure that well fluid tubing head pressure?

Hi Abhijeet,

How are things? just curious to know - are you keeping a platform trip on vent boom ignition?

I understand. In case cold vent ignites due to lightening, do you have any trip mechanism of the platform? that was my question.

I have a similar situation here. Thus wanted to know.

Regards

Usually the DP of the Test Separator will be same as the production manifold DP.
