Hi

This is an archived forum discussion of 2008 regarding specification of piping for full vacuum.

Link: http://www.cheresour...or-full-vacuum/

In this discussion, it is still not clear the requirement for full vacuum for piping.

I am currently working on a DHT project where all hydrogen service and sour service are designed for FV.

A . I am not clear if it is service dependent? I have tried searching standards but couldn't find anything related to it.

B. If I am doing steam purging of line i.e. during commissioning, won't it have chance of condensation and consequently creating vacuum

Pls advise.

Regards

Himant
