Dear all,

 

Could anyone please help me to explain why gas temperature drops well below ambient (seawater) temperature (as shown in attached Excel file)?

 

I've always thought the gas temperature would closely follow the water temperature. As shown, it also depends on the flow rate and I can't really understand why/how the flow rate effect only occurs at the end of the pipeline.
