I want to calculate steam requirement for smokeless flare. It is elevated flare and relief rate is 600000 lb/hr for emergency scenario. I calculated using API 521 Table 11. However, requirement is too large. How can I reduce the requirement.

Consult the flare tip manufacturer to see if there are alternatives.
